All those years I collected vintage things--photos, buttons, aprons--it never occurred to me that one day I myself would be "vintage." It is odd: to think of oneself as a mid-20th century woman.
Yesterday I wore this little red hat that was my daughter's thirty years ago when she was a little girl. A few years ago, I began to use it because wearing red had more and more appeal as the years went by. It's a wonderful color and this is amazing yarn to have held up so well over time. Good color coordination when I pinned my Grandmother Against the War button on it.
Proving once again that it's possible to be political and fashionable at the same time. Would this notion move more women of a certain age toward active protest?

Hi again Naomi--I see our politics match, too! Apologies for not visiting sooner, and agin, must beg off much more right now because BOTH of us have had a bad flu bug all week...but at least it's stopped snowing, for now. (We're at 4,000 ft.)I've surfaced just to check the burgeoning email vol. Maybe your Typepad is better than blogger. I'm having great trouble getting pix from a digital camera to upload. Drats!
Is there a pun or two in your title? There is, of sorts, in my 'serious' blog. Keep up the good and colorful work!
Cheers from Kathi in Mt. Shasta
