A call for Activist Knitters--
Tuesday, May 23, from 5:30 p.m. on into evening
Washington Square Park*
New York City
Anarchist Knitting Mob invites us to join them in memoralizing
Jane Jacobs (1917--2006) by creating knit structures
in the park. Bring yarn and needles.
*Meet under the Arch for instructions.
a little red hen will be there, if it does not rain, with yarn for knitting red wiggler worms. I learned about this when googling for blogs on "knitting and politics." You never know.

Naomi,
I read about your knitted wiggler worms---and your live ones---in a post some time ago. I enjoyed reading about it then and I still think it's a grand---and most original idea. I wish I could join you on Tuesday but I'll truly be there in spirit.
KNIT ON NAOMI!!

Dear Naomi,
I am Mary Ann Ron's spinning class instructor at Peters Valley.
Just wanted to tell you what a delight it was to have him in our class.
He became quite famous ( or should I say infamous) during his time there. The instructor who was teaching the quilting class tried to spirit him away during lunch one day and we, in the class, were totally surprised by all the things he was able to provide. Everytime we went looking for something (screwdrivers, teabags, etc) Ron had it in the car. What a great guy!!
I had him revisit scotch tension on his wheel during class -He's really quite good at it. Please tell him I said "Hi" and happy spinning.
