An exhibition on loan to Bergdorf at Fifth Avenue & 57th Street from Baltimore's American Visionary Museum... amazing space, near the Inner Harbor. Bergdorf Goodman website does not indicate how long all this work from the Museum will stay.
Another Normal has taken terrific pictures of all the windows.
Divine was made famous beyond Baltimore by the filmmaker John Waters.

Amazing!!!!!! I love it!!!

Somehow I don't think we're in Kansas anymore, Toto!

I loved Divine in the original and wonderful "Hairspray." She displayed just the right amount of weary pissed-offness that Tracy's mother would experience in "real" life. All that ironing! In the heat!
One of my Hilo friends is a Baltimore girl, and she remembers a lot of the "real history" behind "Hairspray."
