It's all about the people we love and leave--till we come together again in the City or Portland. Our "distance grandparenting" shifts coasts with our move. We've had many good times with Roxie and her parents in our last days in New York.
This photo is a favorite of mine from a delightful Sunday we enjoyed last winter in Dumbo, under the Brooklyn Bridge.

Very touching.
It's really happening!

I know, Naomi, it is what I did last year. Wecreate all these beautiful golden cords that tether us to those we love!
Thinking of you, Marianne

Moving about in my early life became valued by me because of all the new people I met to add to my old friends. They've stood me in good stead all these years though so many are gone now. Treasure your memories ... enjoy making new ones.

I've loved these posts. Sent an e-mail to your cityworm address but it bounced back. If there's an address you have for longer message, wd you send it either to fjohns33@mindspring.com or via www.trueslant.com/franjohns? Thanks and happy travels!

So many times I have wished I could be 2 or more people at the same time. I hate to say goodbye, but I love to go to new places.
I'll see you in Portland! Bon voyage.
